Full Concert Schedule

Concerts run
"rain or shine"!

We prefer to have everything outdoors, both for vibe and space, but if the weather
doesn't cooperate , we'll move inside the store. Or THIS year, we may need an Ark... we'll adapt.

What's on deck this year:

Concerts begin JUNE 14
and run everyTuesday
until AUGUST 9. Many favorites from prior seasons will return, including The Dave Sterner Quintet, Bill Ransom,
The Sax Section,
and legendary Cleveland saxman Ernie Krivda.
Again this year we feature a double bill Acoustic Guitar Night featuring local legend Brian Henke paired with a great new fingerstylist from Japan, Shohei Toyoda. Opening acts for the 2010 season will begin at 7pm,
with the headliners hitting
around 7:30. If we don't
program an opening act,
the main concert
will start at 7.

Opening Season 9: The Roger Friedman Trio returns! Don't miss it!

Season 9 continues the Porch tradition at Skyline Music. Our friends at Romeo's Pizza plan to visit us again this year, and we're always on the lookout for additional "features" to bring enjoyment to the Front Porch experience.

NEW THIS YEAR: Our Instrument Petting Zoo for young and old alike will be featured every week at 6:30 before the concert. It's a chance for people of all ages to try making a sound on wind and string instruments with the help of one of our "Zoologists". It's free, and it's a perfect way to introduce a kid to the music making experience--face time with an instrument and a live concert! Tell your friends with little ones!

You're welcome to add your tailgate expertise to the show. We'll even hold extra parking spaces for anyone who wants to come in with a smoker trailer and do barbecue! No Alcohol, Please. This is a family event, not Woodstock III. That means leave the Slip 'n' Slides and Frisbees at home, too. But bring chairs or use ours, relax in your car, and enjoy the evening!

We know that the Front Porch name isn't unique--in fact, you'll find references to music on the "Front Porch" everywhere, from coast to coast and across all styles. The idea conveys both a sense of community and casualness that we like. Here are performances that are intimate and relaxed, yet still professional and inspiring. We present these concerts to give everyone the opportunity to hear professionals up close, in the neighborhood, and FREE. Come out, bring a chair or use one of ours, and enjoy live music with our growing audience!
You Can Support The Porch!

Over the last nine years, no tax dollars, grants, or corporate checks have gone toward the Front Porch Concerts--every dollar has come from Skyline Music.
We are committed to keeping these concerts free for the community, but in these economic times that is increasingly challenging. We pay the musicians who headline each concert, and the out-of-pocket expense each summer is seveal thousand dollars.

If you'd like to support the effort with a contribution, you can do so by clicking the link at right: you can contribute any amount--even a dollar will help!-- via Paypal's secure transaction system. Use credit card or Paypal--no Paypal account required. It's just like buying anything online. If you've been a Front Porch audience member, or just want to support live music, this is easy--and we and the Front Porch artists truly appreciate the support!
