As you already know, there are hundreds, even thousands, of piano methods and supplements! Everything we regularly carry arrived at the request of a piano teacher, and we welcome your requests, suggestions, reactions and reviews. If there is a method or supplement you regularly use that You'd like us to have on hand for you, please give us the details (exact title(s), author, publisher, and if possible, stock number, plus the level(s) you use) and we'll be happy to add it to our "watch list" so we keep it in stock.
As many teaching books as there are, it seems that publishers are always issuing something new. We subscribe to all the new issues from Kjos (Bastien, Keith Snell), Alfred, Willis, and FJH (Faber), and others will be added soon. That's a lot of material for a teacher to wade through, so here on our site you can find a running list of these new issues by month, plus a growing number of capsule reviews--not publisher publicity, but actual reactions from your teaching colleagues in the community. Access them from the menu at left.
You are also cordially invited to join us for our "sort-of-quarterly" Piano Teacher Kaffee Klatsches at the store. They are usually on a weekday morning from 9:00 to 11:00, before the store opens for its regular day. There is no formal presentation; these are not workshops as such, but informal networking and social sessions. The store provides refreshments, and we solicit our publishers for catalogs, review copies, and the occasional door prize to give out those days. There is also special pricing on any purchase made that morning, so it's a good time to stock up on the essentials as well as the new issues.
