Local trumpeter Aaron Kleinstub returned to Cleveland after his first year at Julliard and has been making the rounds on the Cleveland jazz scene all summer. He contacted us about a return to the Front Porch, and it happened on a perfect summer evening. Backed by a rhythm section of seasoned pros (Tony Pulizzi, guitar, Marty Greenberg, bass, and Paul Samuels, drums), he showed that he's been paying attention to jazz history and his mentors in a program laden with the influences of Freddy Hubbard, Miles Davis, and Clifford Brown.
