About violin outfits:
All our instruments are available a la carte (instrument only) or as outfits with bow and case. There are many options to complete your outfit. The most basic is a Glasser fiberglass bow with horsehair and a Knilling (thermoplastic) or Protec (wood shell) case. These add approximately $100 to the price of the instrument alone. You may be ready to select a better bow with your instrument; the process is similar to selecting your violin. In case selection, storage space, weight, and protection for the instrument will rule the choice.
Contact Shannon Williams at the store for detailed information.

Auditioning a violin:
We encourage you to take the time to listen to these or any of our instruments. No two sound alike; that's both the fun and the work of finding the right instrument for you. Shannon Williams is available to help guide you through the assortment, but you may certainly try the instruments unassisted in one of our studios. We ask that you call ahead, since the rooms are heavily used for lessons during the week.. Saturday afternoons (or weekdays before 3:00 pm) are the best times to come in, although other evening times are possible--but they vary week to week.
